During sessions clients remain fully clothed and recline comfortably on a specially cushioned treatment table. Each session is customized to meet individual needs based on a reading of the pulses, body observation and client requests. Self-help techniques can be offered at the end of each session to continue the stress reduction process.
One of the distinguishing aspects of Jin Shin Jyutsu is that it can be self-applied. At the end of sessions the practitioner will often give self-help suggestions customized for the individual client. For those who want to become actively involved in establishing and maintaining optimal health, these self-help techniques are a truly valuable tool.
Sessions are one hour for new clients. Clients who have had at least 5 sessions can arrange for 1 1/2 hour sessions in special situations. Mini sessions lasting 1/2 hour are also available.
